Hello, my name is Amy Mertens and I have opened a new in-home daycare in the city of Elk River. I have CPR/First Aid certification for children/infants. I also have SIDS and Shaken Baby Syndrome training. My experience includes a solid work history of 15+ years in infant, child, and adolescent care, and Home Health Care for special needs children.
I like to incorporate imaginative play, crafts, and healthy cooking into our days, that focus primarily on academic skills, but also motor skills, social, and emotional growth. Your child's safety, health, emotional and physical needs will always be met. They will receive one on one attention in a loving home environment and I will organize developmentally-appropriate schedules and activities for each child in my care.

Our family recently moved to Elk River, MN from Plymouth, MN. It has always been my dream to have an in-home Licensed Daycare. Before we moved to Elk River I was a Professional Nanny and Special Needs Care-Giver for children ages birth - 12 years old.
